An Apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature of the California public official who signed the document\, the capacity in which that official acted and when appropriate\, the identity of the seal or stamp which the document bears\, e.g.\, a notary public seal. \n\n \n\nWhat is a Domestic Partnership? \n\n \n\nA Domestic Partnership is a state-recognized legal relationship of two adults sharing a committed\, intimate life\, granting many of the same state-level rights\, protections\, and responsibilities as marriage. Under California law\, registered domestic partners generally have the same rights\, protections\, and benefits\, and are subject to the same responsibilities\, obligations\, and duties under law as are granted to and imposed upon spouses.
