DESCRIPTION:The Economic Development Committee convenes Dublin business leaders who are interested in the economic viability of Dublin and the greater Tri-Valley area.  The committee leads the Chamber's advocacy efforts on local public policy priorities.\n\n\n\nJune 2026 Meeting \n\n\n\nPresentation on the Local Taxpayer Protection Act\n\n\n\nThe Local Taxpayer Protection Act would cap new real estate transfer taxes and restore the right to vote on all local dedicated taxes with a 2/3 vote requirement so voters can better control their cost of living. It guarantees taxpayers the right to vote on ALL new or higher local taxes.   Fact Sheet  John Kabateck with Kabateck Strategies will be presenting.\n\n\n\n\n\nPresentation by Marc Joffe\, Contra Costa Taxpayers Association\, regarding the Billionaire's Tax expected to be on the November ballot.\n\nMarc Joffe is President of the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association and a Visiting Fellow at the California Policy Center\, where he writes about state and local fiscal policy issues. Before moving into public policy analysis\, Marc held several management roles at financial institutions. His op-eds have appeared in the Wall Street Journal\, Orange County Register\, and East Bay Times among others. He has an MBA from New York University and an MPA from San Francisco State University.\n\n\n\n\n\nPresentation by Eden Housing on a project for Sunflower Hill in the Francis Ranch development\n\nMax Heninger currently serves as Associate Director of Real Estate Development at Eden Housing\, where he leads complex projects from planning through completion\, navigating funding\, partnerships\, and community engagement. Since joining Eden in 2020\, Max has overseen a $218 million pipeline of affordable housing development and rehabilitation\, totaling over 280 units across five projects.\n\n \n\nHis update for the Committee is on the Francis Ranch project\, a 78 unit affordable housing community that is being jointly developed by Eden Housing and Sunflower Hill in Dublin.
