DESCRIPTION:Alameda County Supervisors David Haubert\, District 1\, and Elisa Marquez\, District 2\, have partnered with County Social Services\, non-profits\, and educational institutions to elevate our collaborative efforts to support Foster Children\, their Resource Parents\, and transitional aged Foster Youth. In addition to facilitating deeper connection & coordination within the foster care system\, we are reaching out to members of our community like you who may be interested in participating in this initiative to increase support\, mentorship\, advocacy\, and resources for D1 and D2 residents in the foster care system.\n\n \n\nWhether you're able to provide transportation for foster kids to after school programs or you want to mentor/tutor a transitional aged foster youth\, maybe you're interested in opening your home for emergency temporary placement or respite care\, or you are considering becoming a Resource Parent\; your desire to make a difference in the life of a child/youth in the foster care system is admirable and greatly appreciated.\n\n \n\nPlease come to the information night Town Hall on February 25th in Dublin to learn more.
