Las Positas College (LPC) will host its annual New Hawk Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with check-in beginning at 8:15 a.m.
New Hawk Day is especially geared toward first-time college students and graduating high school seniors planning to attend Las Positas College. The in-person event is designed to help incoming students get ready for a successful start at LPC by connecting them with the people, services, and information they need before the fall semester begins.
“New Hawk Day is about giving students a strong start and helping them feel confident as they begin college,” said Dr. Dyrell Foster, president of Las Positas College. “From meeting counselors to planning classes and learning about support services, students leave the day better prepared to succeed.”
Students attending New Hawk Day can:
· Register early for summer and fall classes
· Meet with counselors and begin building an educational plan
· Learn about majors, academic pathways, and program requirements
· Get help with enrollment, and learn about student support services
· Explore the campus and become more familiar with LPC resources
· Learn about FREE tuition for eligible first-time, full-time students
