LAVTA Hosts Community Workshop for Pleasanton Bus Routes

RT 10R Downtown Pleasanton and Supplemental School Routes

The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) will be hosting a two-part community workshop at the Firehouse Arts Center on January 13, 2026 to gather input on two bus planning efforts currently underway in Pleasanton. The first part of the meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be focused on the bus routes serving Pleasanton middle and high schools; the second part of the meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be focused on alternative routing options for Route 10R in downtown Pleasanton.

Wheels launched this effort to look for ways to relieve operating congestion in the Neal St. area of downtown Pleasanton, to improve on-time performance, and to address changing school boundaries with consideration for challenges when operating large buses in residential neighborhoods. The workshop will explore opportunities to streamline routes and improve overall service reliability, and participants will be asked to complete a survey with their thoughts and opinions about the alternatives. The results are expected to be implemented later in 2026.
