Chabot College is set to host the Grand Kyiv Ballet for a visually and thematically stunning performance of Swan Lake. The event will take place on March 19, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Reed L. Buffington Visual & Performing Arts Center, Building 1300, at 25555 Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward, CA.

Swan Lake is a timeless ballet masterpiece that narrates the tale of a prince who falls in love with a beautiful swan princess cursed by a spell. Renowned for its breathtaking choreography, elaborate set designs, and Tchaikovsky’s enchanting score, the ballet explores themes of love, sacrifice, and redemption. These powerful motifs continue to resonate with audiences of all ages, ensuring its place as a time-tested classic that has captivated viewers for over a century. This magical story will be brought to life by the exceptional dancers of the Ukrainian National Opera and Ballet Theater, whose graceful performances will transport audiences into a world of wonder and enchantment.

The Grand Kyiv Ballet company is a prestigious set of Ukrainian ballet dancers that originated in 2014, starting on a big tour in cities across France and covering 35 theaters. The company was originally created by the premiere of the ballet of the National Opera of Ukraine, Oleksandr Stoianov. Each ballet dancer has such high technical skill that it lends to an incredible experience for audience members through the professional acting and dancing.
