Las Positas College to Host Automotive Technology Career Fair

Las Positas College (LPC) will host its first Automotive Technology Career Fair on Wednesday, May 7, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on campus. The event is designed to showcase the many exciting career pathways available in the automotive industry, ranging from technician and diagnostic roles to management, logistics, and customer service, while also connecting current LPC students and prospective high school attendees with employers across the field.

Open to all LPC students, the fair will place a special focus on those enrolled in the college’s Automotive Technology program, while also welcoming students from other disciplines who are interested in learning more about career opportunities in this rapidly evolving industry.

“Today’s automotive industry offers so much more than just turning wrenches,” said Brian Hagopian, program coordinator and faculty for Advanced Transportation and Automotive Technology at Las Positas College. “From electric vehicles and diagnostic technologies to parts management and business operations, our students are preparing to lead in an industry that’s evolving faster than ever. This career fair gives them a chance to explore those options and connect directly with employers who are looking for skilled, motivated individuals.”

From hands-on repair and diagnostics to advanced vehicle systems and sustainable transportation, students in automotive programs are entering a field rich with opportunity and innovation. The career fair offers a firsthand look at how classroom learning can lead to dynamic, real-world careers.

In addition to LPC students, the college is inviting interested students from local high schools who are exploring future educational and career paths in automotive technology.

Employers are encouraged to participate to recruit for open positions, promote internships, and highlight both technical and non-technical roles within their organizations.

Those interested in participating are asked to confirm by Friday, May 2. For more information or to reserve a spot, please contact: Anne Kennedy at: akennedy@laspositascollege.edu
